- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Holmes Point has a grassy shoreline, a tiny bit of rocks to step over the pure amazing sand bottom that's 1-5 ft deep for about 150 metres. The best for kids and people wanting to play football or games in the water. No rocks=no zebra mussels to cut toes on. Very busy on weekends. Local residents can get a parking pass from the town otherwise you can pay at the pay and display machine. Amazing for watching sunsets.By Betony Ann, February 23, 2017
